We assume you have some form of requirements for your construction project. These are often managed in spreadsheets, but you may also be working with PDFs or other types of documents.
Such formats are excellent for building a common understanding within the project team, but they are not suitable for automated validation. That’s where our service comes in: we help transform your requirements into an Information Delivery Specification (IDS).
While we will use scripts, code, AI, and other tools to assist, this is not a fully automated process (*). Please bear with us—we will get back to you as soon as we have something ready. Along the way, we will also prepare a simple report to show progress.
Our process includes:
- Identifying which requirements can be expressed as IDS data requirements
- Determining the best way to represent the project breakdown structure (classification) in IDS
- Translating value constraints from your exchange requirements to IDS
- Producing one or more IDS files
(*) We will do our best to convert your requirements quickly. If we can do it in half a day (4 hours), we will do it for free. If it needs more time, we will be in touch to see how we can work together.
